Penn Station Subs Review

I find that most submarine chains offer pretty standard fare, but all have a sub that goes above. At Penn Station this is there cheesesteak, characterized as, off the grill this sub is heated up to order. This time I went and ordered a snack size cheesesteak with steak, cheese, onions, mushrooms, and banana peppers. as well as a small fry. The sub sat for a little while before I got there and while they made my fries so it wasn't completely fresh off the grill when I had it. The bread was not crispy, meat was actually seasoned with some form of sodium pretty well. Peppers are a must on this sandwich and pair well with the mushrooms. The provolone cheese and onions are a bit more traditional but one can see why they belong when eating this sandwich. Cheesy, meaty, and oniony are three things that come to mind when eating this sandwich. The peppers and mushrooms broke up that monotony up in all the right ways.

Cheesesteak- 6.2/10 Definitely worth getting, just maybe not a trip

Fries

The fries needed salt, plain and simple they needed some sodium on them, it seemed like none was put on. You could taste the peanut oil and that was pretty much all you could taste. They were fried well as they had a crispy outside and fluffy inside. Seasoning was needed but the actual frying was actually great. I could have gotten an off batch as no seasoning really hurt these fries and with salt they would be better than most chains like burger king.

French Fries- 5.1/10 worth getting but add salt if not enough is on after having a few
