The Ups and Downs of the NBA Lottery for the Detroit Pistons

NBA Lottery

Before Announcement:

It's a Tuesday and the playoffs haven't started so ill entertain myself by writing about the NBA draft lottery. Victor Wembanyama is the player that will be picked, i mean seven foot tall and he shoots better than most in the league. He brings more to the table every time he plays. Some say he can be an elite player in the NBA in just three seasons. Not sure what they look at but it depends where he goes, the situation matters for development.

Detroit is the team I root for and here is what I believe Victor can bring to the team. We have a young core that when healthy is a formidable one-two punch. The guards will be able to dribble drive into the lane and there he will be able to step up and takeover the game. Our pick and rolls will have to be respected and guarded tough as Victor will be able to drop off and hit the shot. I have even seen the guy dribble drive a few times and he will get better at that meaning he may be able to make his own shot. There are few weaknesses in his game and he still gets to develop in the NBA.

He’s a game changer, plain and simple. Detroit needs this player, I mean cmon, we gotta get something for being the worst team in the NBA.

After the announcement:

Well I am not shocked, somehow not surprised by a Detroit sports team getting screwed. Not sure who we get with the fifth pick but they will be great for the city. This feeling just always seems to fall on us as Detroit fans, never getting the satisfaction of having something. Im not saying rigged but how did the spurs get the pick? I mean come on this storyline writes itself. Detroit sports will be back, I'm not sure how, when, or even who will be there but, we will be back.
