The table where all are Welcome

The full hibachi order at Osaka Steak House

Hibachi! Hibachi! Hibachi! The grill was hot when we sat down at the end of the table next to strangers at Osaka Steak House. First things first, we needed sake bombs stat with a side of water to make sure we didn’t get out of control. I ordered the Samurai Choice combination which was seven ounces of New York strip steak and four ounces of chicken breast. Of course, we had to upgrade to fried rice and this place the meal came with fried noodles, vegetables, and 2 pieces of shrimp. Don’t forget about the soup and salad, which came out first and my goodness that soup is filled with sodium. The salad is the freshest tasting thing you will have during the meal and this places dressing had more ginger and peanut flavor than usual which was a welcome addition. A member of the group ordered a sushi roll slightly fried with tempura shrimp that had a little cream cheese and a dash of spice.

When the chef came out he started on the rice making sure to cook each component separate before mixing them together, then adding plenty of garlic butter, soy sauce, and seasoning with salt and pepper. Pretty much the same preparation was done for the fried noodles, just with no eggs or vegetables. After spooning onto our plates and ladling in ginger and yum yum sauce to our saucers, the chef started on the meals. Cooking the chicken, then throwing the steak and shrimp on, adding copious amounts of garlic butter to all of it. The shrimp got a touch of lemon, which could be tasted and was appreciated, at the end of cooking. After the chicken was done then the vegetables took their place on the grill, a nice little volcano was made but there was still something missing, not sure what but it left me desiring more from the show. After handing out the steak, vegetables, and shrimp the chef cleaned and left.

This place was good and I had lunch the next day, for around 65 bucks, it still feels expensive. Hibachi is a once in a while experience, maybe for birthdays or celebrations because while we were dining they had a gong show and drums to celebrate people’s birthdays in the restaurant.
