Lets meet at Chili’s the new golf course in Business

A desert Oasis brings relief to those that need it most and just like that, Chili’s brings me the much-needed relief from inferior margaritas. A nice shaker of presidential worthy margaritas was prepared and shaken upon my entrance into this finest of establishments. Walking in with the deep voiced barbecue sauce chorus from the official/unofficial theme song playing in my head.

We started out with a triple dipper consisting of three appetizers (crispy Mango-Habanero Chicken Crispers, boneless buffalo wings, and southwestern egg rolls). I was told later that I was supposed to sub out the chicken crispers for big bites which are sliders, but on this trip, I was ordering from the hip, daring to be dangerous. The star of the trio being the egg rolls that I had not had anywhere in my life. The unique southwestern spin tried to knock me off my game, I did not waver though. The flavorful combo of chicken, black beans, corn, jalapeno jack cheese, red peppers, and spinach lent nicely to my palate. The red pepper in my head is what set the egg rolls apart but the ingredients may have congealed into some new altogether by the time of consumption. Before this came to the table I foolishly ordered the smokehouse combo not knowing how much food was to be set before me. A nice side Caesar salad was laid on the table and I would put it near the bottom of my list as there are better Caesars out there. The smokehouse combo can be highlighted by the corn and bread, the two side items. The main dishes I got were a half rack of the original BBQ ribs and the Brisket Quesadillas. The ribs were better than I thought yet still not going to be making any list of best ribs in any town (I hope). The Brisket quesadilla was full of cheese, jalapeños, BBQ sauce, and Brisket making them a complete meal themselves and making them the star entrée in the combo. I also had a sad side of fries that were just all around ehhhh.

Takeaways: Grab a Margarita, would recommend the Presidente Margarita. Then go with a triple dipper (chicken crispers, egg rolls, and the big bites). For an entrée based on what I had this trip grab the brisket quesadilla and get an ear of the roasted street corn. All the items I had were good some were better while some fell a little flat or left me wanting a little bit more.
