How do you make a lobster roll?

A traditional lobster roll can be made as follows:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 4 hot dog buns, split and toasted

  • Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, celery salt, salt, and pepper.

  2. In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  3. Fill the toasted hot dog buns with the lobster mixture.

  4. Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter.

  5. Broil the filled buns in the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

  6. Serve immediately with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or chives.
